Trabzonspor's Paul Onuachu makes club history

In Trabzonspor, who lost 3-0 to Natura Dünyası Gençlerbirliği in the last week of the Super Lig, Nigerian player Paul Onuachu became the sixth player in the club's history to achieve this feat, finishing the season as the top scorer with Başakşehir's Eldor Shomurodov by scoring 22 goals.

The Nigerian center-back, who left his mark with his struggles in the 2023-2024 season when he played for Trabzonspor on loan and was transferred with his bonservatism at the beginning of the season, scored 15 goals in 21 matches in the league in his first season, while he was one of the leading scoring contributors to his team with 22 goals this season.

Onuachu became the 6th top scorer in the club's history by finishing ahead in the race for top scorer in the league. Previously, Necmi Perekli (18), Fatih Tekke (31), Şota Arveladze (25), Burak Yılmaz (33) and Alexander Sörloth (24) were the top scorers in the Bordo-blue team.

The Nigerian center-back became the third foreign footballer to become top scorer after Shota Arveladze and Alexander Sörloth.
