Arda Turan became the 5th Turkish manager to lead his team to the semi-finals of UEFA club competitions. If Shakhtar Donetsk had eliminated Crystal Palace, Turan would have become the second Turkish manager to reach the final of a UEFA competition, following Fatih Terim.

MATCH SUMMARY
In the 25th minute, Adam Wharton's shot from the penalty spot was deflected by goalkeeper Riznyk and Daniel Munoz headed the ball in. The ball hit Pedro Henrique and found the net from the corner blocked by Riznyk: 1-0.
