Larkin explained that his decision to sign with Fenerbahçe was not based on financial considerations, saying:

"My transfer to Fenerbahçe was never about chasing money. If I’d wanted to, I could have gone elsewhere and earned $10, 12, or even 15 million. I’d buy a Ferrari and drive it to practice every day. I want to be one of the best of all time. In fact, I want to be the best to ever do this. There were just a few things missing for that.”

Later, Larkin’s remarks in his introductory video regarding his departure from Anadolu Efes drew attention:

“I respect everyone. I’m a soldier. Whoever you put me with, I’ll go to war with them. But I was told I’d be this team’s number one player, and then suddenly they pulled the rug out from under me. I lost my footing and fell flat on my head.”

'YOU TELL THEM 'A,' THEY DO 'B'

"You say, ‘We can’t lose this player,’ and then you lose him. Then you say, ‘We can’t lose this one either,’ and you lose him too. Of course, this is frustrating. You tell them to do ‘A,’ and they go and do ‘B.’”

Larkin also addressed the injuries he’s suffered and the comments made about him, saying:“People had started saying, ‘He’s faking his injury.’ That initial reaction was truly shocking.”

The “Off the Record” program will air in the coming days.
