RTÜK fined the broadcaster for Trabzonspor-Galatasaray match! Here's why

The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK), which convened to discuss broadcast violations on the agenda, fined the broadcaster beIN Sports for abusive chants in the stadium accompanied by music during the Trabzonspor-Galatasaray match played on April 4 in the Trendyol Super League.

RTÜK determined that the profanities accompanied by the song "Şinanay" were broadcast openly without any "beeping or blocking" and that beIN Sports did not use a delayed broadcast system, balance the ambient sound or take measures to protect the audience by lowering the sound when necessary.

Accordingly, the Council imposed an administrative fine on the broadcaster.
