“VERY PLEASED”
Runjaic said: “I spoke with Zaniolo at half-time of the Juventus match, and he told me he could still play another 10-15 minutes. (Zaniolo played 58 minutes in the Juventus game.) He’s not yet at 100% fitness, but that’s normal—his last full season of consistent play was 2021-2022. It’s natural that he needs time, and I’m satisfied with his performances so far.”
“HE’S BECOMING A LEADER”
Continuing his remarks, Runjaic added: “He’s started six times and scored three goals. That’s a good average for him. He’s already an important player for us. We’re doing everything we can to help him develop and reach a level where he can play 90 minutes. He’s a key player for us and is becoming a leader in this team.”

“WORKED FOR THE TEAM FOR THE FIRST TIME”
The 54-year-old coach said: “Zaniolo has all the qualities we need and sets an example for his teammates. I don’t know when he’ll be able to play 90 minutes, but the important thing is that he plays well, stays injury-free, and the players who replace him maintain his level. I see Zaniolo improving—he has a fantastic mentality. In the Lecce match, he worked hard for the team. Maybe it was the first time in his career he did that. He understands how important he is to us, knows he has to contribute, and I’m pleased with him. He can develop even further than we expected.”
SCORED 3 GOALS
Loaned from Galatasaray to Udinese, Zaniolo has scored 3 goals in a total of 8 matches for the Italian club.
