"At Werder, as an amateur I earned €14,000, as a professional €76,000. At St. Pauli, in my first season in the 2. Bundesliga €144,000, in the second season in the 1. Bundesliga €216,000. My first year at Freiburg €360,000. At Borussia Mönchengladbach €1.2 million. Then at Wolfsburg €3 million. After that, back to Werder Bremen, again €3 million."

"It's different in Germany compared to Turkey. In Turkey, the win bonus was €10,000 per victory, whereas in Germany it's paid per point. At Wolfsburg, I contributed the most to wins, and the bonus per point was €20,000. So when we won, we earned an extra €60,000."During the 2019–20 season, Kruse played 23 matches for Fenerbahçe, scoring 7 goals and providing 8 assists.
