The first set of the championship match between the two Czech players went to Noskova, 6-2. Muchova evened the score by taking the second set 7-5 after her opponent failed to convert five match points. Noskova rallied in the third set and closed out the match 6-3 to claim the Wimbledon title.

The 21-year-old had defeated Seidel, Osorio, Cirstea, Keys, Mertens, and Kostyuk in succession on her way to the final.
