Fenerbahçe star Milan Skriniar: 'We're happy to have advanced'

Fenerbahçe, which advanced to the playoff round by defeating Sturm Graz 2-0 in the away leg of the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, saw star player Milan Skriniar speak to the media after the match.

Expressing his great joy at advancing to the next round, the Slovak star said:

“Our goal was to advance to the next round, and we achieved that. Of course, we knew today’s match would be tough. Games against teams that have nothing to lose—especially in the second leg—are always difficult. We expected it to be like this. If we had been able to score a goal earlier, things might have been easier for us. We’re happy to have advanced to the next round. Guendouzi is a very smart and talented player. He knows exactly when to close in on us and when to stay in the center. He always gives us options in our build-up play. He’s truly fantastic."
