Fenerbahce coach Domenico Tedesco: 'A very big win'

Fenerbahçe defeated Samsunspor 3-2 at home in the 25th week of the Trendyol Super League, coach Domenico Tedesco made statements after the match.

"A VERY BIG WIN"

Stating that they played a tough match, the German coach said, "We are happy to get 3 points today. It was a tough match. When you fall behind, you need to have faith. We did that today. I think it was a very important win."

Stating that they had a big win, Tedesco concluded his sentences with the following words:

"After going 2-1 down, things could have gotten worse for us. We believed in our own football, we had a big win. I believe that such wins can change something in the minds of the players."

Speaking at the press conference organized after the match played at Chobani Stadium, the Italian coach said that his team conceded goals very easily.

Tedesco stated that they could not block the centers and could not make man-to-man marking and said, "This is the situation we are in. Tomorrow we will make our analyzes. We will talk about who should be more aggressive. You should not turn your back when the opponent makes a center. If you turn your back, the opponent can pull the ball and make a center. Underlining that such victories will always energize the team, Tedesco emphasized that there has been a negative atmosphere recently.

Stating that his team plays dominant football but the important thing for him is to win, Tedesco continued as follows:

Tedesco stated that they played Samsunspor with a 3-man defense, but their main system was a 4-man defense and said the following:

"We have played 31 matches with a four-man defense, but we were forced to play with three today due to missing players. We performed well with three in the Nottingham match and the Gaziantep FC match, but today it was not good. The wing-backs need to get closer to the defense line.
