Mauro Icardi thanked Galatasaray on his social media account and made the following statements

"Four years ago I arrived without knowing that life was taking me to one of the most beautiful stories I will ever live.

Today I realize that it wasn't just football, it was never just football.

Because between the noise of the stadium, the lights of Istanbul, the songs coming down from the stands and the love of millions of people...Without realizing it, I found a home away from home.

Four years. Four championships. Thousands of hugs. Millions of memories.

But the most precious thing wasn't the trophies. It was feeling an entire country open my heart and enter deep inside me.Because there are places inside you that stay forever.

Turkey will be like that for me. A memory impossible to erase. A love that time can never touch.

Because there were nights when the world stopped for 90 minutes. And in those moments, when the whole stadium was singing, I realized that I was experiencing something far beyond football.

I saw happiness in the eyes of children, I saw tears in the eyes of people who hugged me as if they had known me all my life, and I felt so much love... Some things even words can't explain.

Thank you, Galatasaray. Thank you for making me a part of this story. Thank you for making me feel loved, respected and eternal.
