Eto'o wins 21-year lawsuit

Former Cameroonian soccer player Samuel Eto'o has won a lawsuit in Spain over tax evasion allegations against him that have been ongoing since 2005. Spain's National Court has upheld Eto'o's appeals against two separate court rulings in 2017 and 2019.

The Cameroonian footballer was prosecuted for failing to declare the significant income he earned from image rights when he played for Barcelona between 2004 and 2009, when he should have taxed it as movable capital income in his personal income tax return.
