Millions tuned in as Shakira, alongside Burna Boy, performed the official tournament anthem "Dai Dai" live for the very first time. However, a conspiracy theory that surfaced on social media following the spectacular performance managed to overshadow the show itself.

Some users claimed that the person at the opening ceremony was not Shakira, suggesting that FIFA had utilized a stunt double. In fact, some posts featured comments such as, "She even mispronounced her own name while singing Dai Dai," "This is not the real Shakira," and "Her face looks completely different."

However, experts pointed out that Shakira's facial features might have been perceived differently due to the heavy stage makeup used during the opening ceremony, the massive stadium lights, and the camera angles of the television broadcast.
