Dani Carvajal leaves Real Madrid

Real Madrid have announced that 34-year-old captain Dani Carvajal will leave the team at the end of the season.

"Real Madrid and our captain Dani Carvajal have agreed to end his wonderful playing career at the club at the end of this season," the Spanish club announced.

Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez was full of praise for the veteran, saying : "Dani Carvajal is a legend and a symbol of Real Madrid and its youth academy. The image of him laying the foundation stone of Real Madrid City with the beloved and unforgettable Alfredo Di Stefano will remain forever in the hearts of all Madrid fans and in the history of our club. Carvajal has always exemplified the values of Real Madrid. This was his home and always will be."

Carvajal won 6 Champions Leagues, 5 UEFA Super Cups, 5 FIFA Club World Cups, 4 LaLiga, 4 Spanish Super Cups and 2 Spanish Cups for Real Madrid.

Dani Carvajal played 450 matches for Real Madrid, scoring 14 goals and making 65 assists in those matches.
