'Shameful!'

Laporta said the following: "First of all I want to congratulate Atletico Madrid, but that doesn't change the fact that yesterday's refereeing and VAR decisions were shameful. What was done to us is unacceptable. We were denied a very clear penalty in the first leg and they sent off a player for a yellow card foul because Giuliano couldn't control the ball. The red card hurt us a lot."

'This is unacceptable'

Laporta announced that Barcelona would lodge another complaint with UEFA and concluded: "This was a qualifying round where refereeing decisions hurt us a lot. In the rematch Eric Garcia was not the last man, Kounde was coming. The referee showed a yellow card but changed his decision with VAR intervention. Ferran's goal was valid, the tackle on Olmo was a penalty, the tackle on Fermin was unacceptable because his upper lip was completely split. The boy was in pain while getting stitches and no card was shown. This is unacceptable."
