Another injury shock at Juventus! Bad news from Khepren Thuram

Following the news about Kenan Yıldız, more bad news has come from Khephren Thuram at Juventus. It has been decided that the Italian team’s French midfielder will undergo surgery due to a knee injury. It was reported that Thuram will be sidelined for an extended period and is not expected to play for the remainder of 2026.

According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 25-year-old soccer player will travel to Lyon, France, for the surgery. It was reported that Thuram will undergo surgery on Thursday, September 3, performed by knee surgeon Bertrand Sonnery Cottet, who has previously operated on Juventus players such as Gleison Bremer and Federico Gatti.

It was stated that Thuram, who has been dealing with femoropatellar syndrome since the latter part of last season, has not fully recovered despite conservative treatment. The French star, who missed all of the preseason friendlies, returned to the lineup in the first week of Serie A but began experiencing pain again shortly thereafter. Following recent examinations, the decision was made to perform arthroscopic surgery due to patellar chondropathy.

Thuram is expected to be sidelined for at least four months following the surgery. It was noted that the French midfielder’s return to Juventus could be as late as 2027. It was also noted that Thuram’s long-term injury played a role in the Black-and-Whites’ decision to sign Pape Sarr from Tottenham on the final day of the transfer window.
