Acun Ilıcalı’s statement included the following remarks:
“What an interesting invention during a presidency that began with the lie of ‘unity and solidarity’—from those who, as soon as their term ended, failed to pay for their box seats and didn’t set foot in our stadium for seven years!” My box seat contract—for which I had paid the fee well in advance to support my club—was unjustly terminated without any legal basis.I remember as if it were yesterday someone chasing after a box seat at a board meeting. While it may be fitting for that same person to engage in unlawful actions the moment they seize power—driven by personal ambition and scores to settle—they must not forget that the seat they occupy is the presidency of Fenerbahçe. My first priority from now on will be to use my legal rights to teach this mindset—filled with hatred and resentment—a lesson in justice and ensure that our club is managed within the framework of the law.
