A message of thanks from Ergin Ataman to the Greek people

Ergin Ataman, who has stepped down from his position with the Greek team Panathinaikos, thanked the Greek people for their support.

In a post on his Instagram account, Ergin Ataman said, "During the three years I spent in Greece, I would like to sincerely thank not only the Panathinaikos fans but also the friendly and brotherly Greek people across the country for the love and support they showed me. I am leaving with countless wonderful memories and emotions that cannot be put into words. My greatest source of pride, even more than the successes and trophies we achieved, has been the opportunity to contribute to the friendship between the Turkish and Greek peoples. Ergin Ataman, who was appointed head coach of Panathinaikos in 2023, won the EuroLeague and the Greek Super League once each over three seasons, as well as the Greek Cup twice.
